On July 26th, Fashion Life Lab learned that outdoor lifestyle brand Penfield China officially released its 2022 fall collection, which draws inspiration from Tibetan culture on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, takes "Sanjiangyuan" as the starting point of caravan travel, reproduces the classic style of the brand in the early days, mixes a variety of special materials and integrates a lot of Tibetan style elements. The brand concept of FOR LIFE IN THE OPEN is fused with the ethnic culture, and the new departure is to experience the leisurely grassland nomadic life and have an unexpected encounter with the plateau elves.
The Penfield China 2022 fall season [Sanjiangyuan] series will go deep into the source of the Yangtze River, Yellow River and Lancang River, which is known as the "backbone of Asia" and is famous for its steepness, coldness and harshness, but also for its magic, strength and beauty; it is one of the most concentrated areas of high altitude biodiversity in the world, and also nurtures a long and mysterious Tibetan culture. It is a unique sample of the footprints of human civilization and a natural sanctuary to which countless people are fascinated.
In terms of design elements, the collection draws inspiration from the Tibetan culture of Sanjiangyuan, using a large number of hand embroidery, woolen trim, woolen piece collage, coil rope embroidery, do long ancient silver metal and other craft details, and mining the Tibetan culture means auspicious and safe treasure umbrella pattern, and very national characteristics of the totem elements in the form of printing, fusion through the traditional Tibetan elements, to give the whole series a stronger sense of ethnicity.
In terms of fit, this season, some of Penfield's early classic styles are reproduced again, such as the goose down vest from the 1978 OUTBACK series and the Kasson mountaineering jacket that was a big hit in the 1990s, and improved to the 65/35 fabric that better meets the current outdoor performance needs, taking into account good breathability and excellent waterproof and windproof performance, easily achieving a comfortable outdoor life. In terms of materials, the series also chooses functional fabrics such as water-repellent wool and windproof lambswool with classic mountain-shaped print.
It is reported that the Penfield China Fall 2022 [Sanjiangyuan] collection will be officially launched in Penfield China's offline stores and online store on August 4. The brand's first Beijing store in Taikoo Li Sanlitun was also officially opened on July 22, bringing a new atmosphere to the outdoor lifestyle hipsters in the capital.
